Love Lies Bleeding: A Speculative Title Sequence
Exploring ambition, love, and betrayal through vibrant visuals, geometric symbolism, and suspenseful motion design.
For my motion design class, I created a speculative title sequence for Love Lies Bleeding, directed by Rose Glass. The film follows Lou, a reclusive gym manager, and Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder chasing her dream in Las Vegas, as their love spirals into violence amidst Lou’s criminal family ties. My animation reflects the film’s suspenseful plotline and explores its vibrant color palette. The use of geometric forms and circles symbolizes the dynamic relationship between the characters and the tension that binds them. Each element is meticulously crafted to immerse viewers in the film’s gripping tone, offering a bold visual interpretation of its themes of ambition, love, and betrayal.
